UNCONTROLABLE SPIT

SPITTING IN BABIES

Spitting happens from the time one is born.
Babies spit all the time , when they eat or swallow, drink milk and burp.It can also happen when your baby is drooling. Babies usually don't notice when they spit.sometimes they vomit also due to eating more and they can not digest. while vomiting is forceful and painful. Spitting up is a common occurrence for most babies until about the time they can eat solid foods (usually around 6 months to 1 year of age).

The medical term for "spitting up" is gastroesophageal reflux, or reflux. It happens when milk or solid food in the stomach comes back up into your baby's esophagus (the esophagus is the tube that joins the mouth and the stomach). When we sees babies spitting ,your own or others one does not feel bad or filthy and we take in a stride thinking ..babies do that , that is part of their system and growing up.Most babies spit up milk out of their mouths or noses. This is because the sphincter at the top of the stomach is often loose. In otherwise healthy, happy babies who are growing well, the spit-up is mostly milk, rather than stomach acid, and nothing needs to be done.

Babies gaining at least 6 ounces a week and with wet diapers at least every 6 hours are usually growing well. On average, spitting up peaks at 4 months and is over by about 7 months of age, though it can take longer.

So spitting which is uncontrollable stars from a baby. But my concern is why does it continue with some people when other things like use of diapers, eating mashed bananas , eating semi solid food etc etc. changes with time and with the growth . why doesn't spitting stop why? Why cant adults leave their chidhood habits and not spit...
